Description

The Asgard Smoke Tool (AST) is a purpose-built, professional tool designed by a fire-alarm technician, for fire-alarm technicians.

This tool was custom designed, prototyped, and manufactured in North Carolina, USA, with real-world inspection and testing workflows in mind. The AST is intended for functional smoke detector testing as part of routine inspection, testing, and maintenance activities.

The Asgard Smoke Tool (AST) is a patent-pending design, developed to address real-world testing challenges encountered in the field.

This is not a consumer product. It is built for trained professionals who understand systems, procedures, and responsibility.

HOW IT WORKS

The Asgard Smoke Tool (AST) threads onto standard extension poles commonly available in any hardware store, allowing technicians to safely and efficiently perform functional smoke detector testing at any ceiling height based on what pole you chose from the safety of the ground.

The AST features a pivoting head, which allows the tool to be angled as needed and not require you to be directly under the detector like some other testing tools currently on the market. This pivoting action also aids in testing of subfloor, raised-floor, and other non-standard detector orientations where access is limited.

The AST works with both Smoke Check®, Smoke Centurion and other aerosol based smoke used for commercial fire alarm testing.

The AST is designed to:

– Improve smoke delivery consistency
– Reduce overspray and product waste
– Increase control during testing
– Aid in subfloor and difficult-access detector testing
– Minimize unnecessary dispersion in the protected space

The tool functions as a mechanical test aid to assist the technician during functional smoke testing procedures.
